March 2008 Florida Home Sales including Boca Raton Real Estate News
Posted by on Friday, April 25th, 2008 at 6:15pm.The Florida Association of Realtors reported that March 2008 single-family and condominium home sales were slightly up compared to last month. Florida Association of Realtors’ statistics show a statewide increase of 10% in single-family homes sales and a 13.7% increase in condo sales over February 2008 sales.
According to the Florida Association of Realtors, there were 9,142 single-family
homes sold statewide in March 2008 compared to 8,310 single-family homes sold in February 2008. With regard to condominium sales, the Association of Realtors reported there were 3,145 units sold in March 2008 compared to 2,765 units sold in February 2008. BOCA RATON MEDIAN SALES PRICE
The Florida Association of Realtors reported that the median sales price for single-family homes in Boca Raton - West Palm Beach area for March 2008 was $320,200.00, and the median price for condos in the area was $148,600.00. Although prices are down compared to March 2007, there are signs prices are correcting.
POSITIVE SIGNS
The increase in home sales is a positive indicator there is a high buyer demand for housing because of the current affordable housing prices, increased inventory and low interest rates. These conditions are helping to stimulate home sales in the Boca Raton and surrounding areas as well as statewide.
