Standard Pacific Homes subdivisions at Julia Gardens in Coconut Creek and Monterey in Boynton Beach are terrific values for beautiful new townhouses with fabulous attention to detail and use of space. The sales staff at both subdivisions are friendly and knowledgeable.

We recently brought our buyers to these developments, and believe it or not, no one had any negative comments. In fact, one of our buyers decided to take advantage of the builder closeout prices and purchased a unit at Julia Gardens.

JULIA GARDENS

Julia Gardens is located off of Hillsboro Blvd. just east of Lyons Road. Prices range from approximately $230,000 to $240,000 depending on which floor plan you choose and optional upgrades. The Hibiscus Model is 3 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths,

As the saying goes, “There's nothing half as pleasant as coming home again. The path to owning a home is an exciting time that will bring many rewards for you and your family. It will also require additional responsibilities. Homes may also need to be repaired or renovated in areas that are susceptible for natural disasters. Older homes or buildings that were built prior to 1980 may still harbor obsolete methods of construction, including asbestos. A fibrous mineral used through the majority of the 20th century, asbestos can still appear in piping, insulation, flooring and roofing.   Aside from a strong mining industry, asbestos entered the state of Florida in many industrial and domestic products. Potential Boca Raton home buyers and those…

Federal Reserve Expected to Keep Interest Rates Low

The Federal Reserve met last week, and with the U.S. Economy entering a second year of recession, it is anticipated that the Feds will keep interest rates at all time lows for awhile and probably until the end of the year.  Besides making cash loans to banks to try and get the housing market and the economy jump started, the Feds have been buying up piles of short-term debt also referred to as commercial paper from various companies.  They also are buying mortgage-backed securities guaranteed by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and Ginnie Mae in an effort to help the housing market. President Obama and Congress are working swiftly to enact a $825 billion economic stimulus package too.

Palm Beach Real Estate Prices are Down

This is an interesting graph that I saw in our local newspaper. Everyones big questions to me is, have we hit the bottom yet? If you look at the chart below the home prices in Palm Beach County are in fact down 15% from May of 2007. Now take a look at how sales have picked up since January 2008 until May 2008. We may have just found that bottom that the buyers were looking for. At least from looking at the chart seems like that is the case. If you are in the market to buy Palm Beach or Boca Raton real estate, Please contact your Boca Home Team today!

Good News - Homes Sales and Prices to Improve Last Half of 2008

Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist for the National Association of Realtors expects home sales and prices to improve throughout most of the country in the second half of 2008. Recovery to vary in each market area.  That is certainly good news for South Florida and the Boca Raton real estate market.

According to Yun,  “…over the next five years, … markets like Miami, Las Vegas and Phoenix could see prices go up as much as 50 percent during that time period.”

Now that the subprime market has pretty much dried up and loans insured by FHA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are returning to the marketplace,  Mr.Yun is hopeful that the housing market will strengthen and prices will start to recover

I enjoy playing the course.  Residents of the City of Boca Raton can purchase a membership card with substantial savings in fees.  Golf carts are also available for an additional cost or you can walk the 1,241 yards, par 3 - par 4 course. I especially enjoy the surrounding beach atmosphere. If you are a beginner, this course is perfect.

Royal Palm Place in Boca Raton

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008 at 12:31pm. 4,243 Views, 1 Comments.

Royal Palm Place is a mix of retail shops, fabulous restaurants, spas, salons and apartments. During the months of November through Mid-May the Boca Raton Green Market is held in the parking lot. My favorite restaurant is Coal Mine Pizza (561) 826-2625 . They make a thin crust pizza and serve very generous portions. Sometimes on Wednesday evenings there are outdoor free concerts.  Royal Palm Place is just a great environment to hang out, have a cup of coffee and relax.
